Meet Julia

Adolescent and Young Adult Clinical Psychologist
Julia is a Clinical Psychologist based locally in Canberra. She completed her Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology at the Australian National University (ANU), which forms the foundation of her clinical expertise. Julia works with a broad range of clients under Medicare, EAP, and the NDIS. As a registered Medicare provider, her clients can access rebated psychology sessions with a referral from their GP.
To bolster and supplement her clinical training, Julia also undertook additional counselling studies through the University of Canberra. This dual training in both clinical psychology and counselling enables her to provide well-rounded, client-centred care tailored to individual needs.
Julia is fully registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), which oversees the accreditation of qualified health professionals in Australia. She is also a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS), the leading professional association for psychologists in Australia, dedicated to supporting the advancement of psychology and promoting high standards in mental health care.
With a specialisation for working with adolescents and young adults, Julia primarily works with those experiencing a range of anxiety and depressive symptoms, relationship and social challenges, grief and loss, emotional regulation and adjustment difficulties, and stress-related challenges. Julia also has experience working across neurodivergent populations, seeing clients with ASD and/or ADHD diagnoses.
Julia takes a warm and individualised approach to her therapeutic work, drawing from a range of evidence-based modalities, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). In her work, she also likes to incorporate various techniques from self-compassion work, mindfulness and motivational interviewing.
